Folk Festivals are an experience that should be on everyone's list of things they should do before they die - lots of summer fun that nowadays crop up at almost any time of the year.

So it's big tents in the Summer and cosy, warm pubs at other times, with the odd draughty church hall thrown in for good measure.
At Festivals you can see more artists than you may see in a year at a Folk Club - the big names, the promising beginners, the instrument makers, the dancers,
and,
separate real entertainment for children,
(not just hours in front of a screen),
with music, juggling and freedom!

N.B. 1 You also need to remember that most Festivals come around every year at about the same time so if you hear about one you've missed - there's always next year.

N.B. 2 Most festivals use helpers to run the event - so you can trade a few hours of your time for free entry and/or a free stay on the Festival Camp Site!

It's worth the planning.
